About Agility:
Simply put, Agility Training is the most
fun and exciting activity you can share with your dog! Agility
is like a trip to a doggie amusement park. Agility provides
a recreational outlet for excess energy and is a fun way to spend
time with your dog and your family.
What is
Agility?
Racing against the clock, your dog
jumps through hoops, zips through tunnels, scales walls, climbs then
transverses a narrow dog walk, negotiates a see-saw, zig-zags through
weave poles and leaps over hurdles!
Why do
Agility?
The only thing more fun than watching
your dog do the course is doing it with him. One of the most
important aspects of Agility is that it instills confidence in your
dog while providing a healthy way to blow off steam. Another
benefit is the socialization aspects of the sport; they learn how
to interact with all types of dogs and their families. It has
been my experience that it improves their temperament.
All sizes
and breeds,
All dogs can do Agility.
There are advantages and disadvantages to certain sizes and various
breeds but generally speaking, if your dog is in good health and has
OBEDIENCE TRAINING, they can join in on the fun. Even puppies
can enjoy some of the activities; there are some events that we limit
them to because of their bone development. Must have puppy pre-school.
